I never thought I would have to do this, but medical expenses force the sale of my beloved Harlow koa dobro.  

Custom built by Frank Harlow, in June 2003, it is made from highly figured, solid koa, b/w/b/abalone/b/w/b purfling on top back and headboard, tortoise bound walnut neck with b/w/b purfling and ebony fretboard inlaid with Celtic knot, fossilized walrus ivory nut, genuine Quarterman cone, #14 spider with maple inserts made from piano soundboard, 3 ply hand laminated poplar soundwell made from 100 year old barn beam, beautiful custom abalone inlay on ebony headboard.

This dobro is in MINT condition.  It has a beautiful tone and all the Harlow horsepower.  It has been babied since delivery; played mostly at church.  It comes with a hardshell case.

This is a $5000 dobro, but I am asking $4200.  Shipping extra (actual charge).  Paypal accepted.

There's a mahagony/spruce Harlow on ebay.  Opening bid $1550. Built in 04 or earlier.   http://tinyurl.com/dg6hpv  He notes that it has a "green popper soundring"  I'm assuming that means it has a soundwell.  I guess you'd just want to email the seller for a serial number and then give Frank Harlow a call for all the particulars.
