Real nice model 45 Dobro with spruce top, most likely made by Regal in Chicago, based on rounded slotheads and non-beveled holes.  Mahogany back and sides and square neck/raised nut. Two screens/3 hole top. Decal on back of headstock reads reads "Artistic" which is a label that extensive search has shed no light on - quite rare. Many top authorities have not seen this before and find it "unusual"; "interesting"... feel free to call or write if you have any info on this or want to know who has weighed in on it (serious players will know their names).
Made only during mid-thirties, between 1932-1937.
Condition is excellent-plus, with no cracks, gouges or dings; some scratches on the back and a few on neck. Frets and fretboard are in perfect condition. Heel is tight to body. Some faint crazing to top and back finish. Rings bright and loud as a bell.  Includes hardshell case. Price is $2,300 plus $50 shipping (insured)
